Brief Description of the Project
In 1993, the Trust approved a grant to the Hong Kong Archaeological Society for the publication and exhibition of the discoveries made during the archaeological salvage of Chek Lap Kok prior to the construction of the new airport. An exhibition of the materials discovered from the salvage was held from 7 May to 30 September 1994 at the Antiquities and Monuments Office. The publication summarised the work done by the Hong Kong Archaeological Society in Chek Lap Kok between 1990-1991. Major excavations had been made on Fu Tei Wan, Ha Law Wan, Kwo Lo Wan and Sham Wan Tsuen. The project was completed in September 1994.
