Brief Description of the Project

DOCOMOMO Hong Kong is a volunteer-driven organisation devoted to the documentation and conservation of the Modern Movement in architecture whereas Hong Kong Institute of Architectural Conservationists is a professional body. The project aims to promote the general public's understanding of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Modern Movement occurred between 1910 and 1970, which remains a less-known era of the architectural history of Hong Kong. The project deliverables include workshops and presentations to schools, teaching kits, an exhibition and a website.
