Brief Description of the Project
The project is about the government policy in translation as well as education and training of government interpreters in Hong Kong during the period of 1842 - 1860. The project aims to research into the role of translators and interpreter in early Hong Kong history when there was a language gap between the British and locals in Hong Kong.
