Our Sponsored Projects

Hong Kong is a multi-cultural metropolitan where Chinese and Western culture blend. With an aim to preserve and conserve the human heritage in Hong Kong, the Trust was established in 1992. In the past 25 years, the Trust sponsored 228 projects of different categories at a total cost of over $55 million.

    The Trust sponsored a number of historical research projects which aim to study, record and preserve the historical development of various districts and industries, as well as achievements of prominent figures.   • "Intangible cultural heritage (ICH), transmitted from generation to generation, reflects the life and spiritual aspects of local communities."

  • "Historic buildings enable us to experience the occurrence of historical events in the same scene."

    Community engagement is paramount to heritage preservation. Our grantees promote the understanding of the general public, in particular the younger generation, of our human heritage through conducting workshops, guided tours, dramas, demonstrations, exhibitions, talks, etc.
